Hexane, a molecular-type c6h14, is an alkane containing 6 carbon atoms, having N-hexane, 2-methyl pentane, 3-methyl pentane, two methyl-butane and 2,2-two methyl-butane isomers. Among them, N-hexane can be used as a good organic solvent, widely used in chemical organic synthesis, vegetable oil leaching, mechanical equipment surface cleaning decontamination and so on. At ambient temperature, hexane is liquid. Hexane density is 0.672, the melting point is 95 ℃, the boiling point is 68-70 ℃, the flash points are 22 ℃, hexane is insoluble in water, but soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol and ether.
